Shunkoin Temple and Zen Center

Shunkoin Temple and Zen Center -- this is our guest house.  Because of the lack of tourists, at most one or two other rooms are filled each night, and we practice social distancing in the common room.  Three wonderful women, all who speak English, staff the front office and help us with plans, logistics, etc.  I have stayed here before, and Nick and his friend Derik stayed here when they visited us in 2013.

Shunkoin is one of 46 sub-temples in Japan's largest Zen Buddhist monastery, Myoshinji.  The name means Spring Light, and we are enjoying the days getting longer and the succession of spring flowers.
