The final melting of Snowzilla 2016

George Washington University went back to work at 10:00 am on Tuesday.  The DC government did not return to work until Wed. (with 3 hour delay), and none of the other area universities were open on Tuesday.  My early class was cancelled, so I recorded it for students to catch on Blackboard.  These are the last picots of the partly melted snow in the woods.

We continued to take advantage of the sun with solar cooking.  The homemade solar cooker was made of a fireplace screen that was being thrown away and mylar left from Dave and Liz's Children's winter ball.  The glass blocks were left over from a bookcase and I had a scrap piece of tempered glass from Ikea.  The black pot was in an oven bag (for roasting a turkey).
