A few more pictures of snowzilla

Below are two huge ice votive for candles as the storm was beginning. (We made these with 5-gallon buckets).  Above is a "snow python" in the tree!Even though we were not here for Christmas, I put up the christmas lights just before the storm because I love the look of the snow settling around the lights.  And finally, my tiny moss gardens emerged as the snow melted along the walkway to the house.Kids in Arlington County and Fairfax county have been out of school all week.

MORE snowzilla!

Ollie next door is practicing for the Thailand luge team.  We are outfitted for shoveling.  And yes, solar cooking works in the snow.  We made fu-fu (also known as polenta), steel cut oatmeal, and bean over 3 cold days recently.

Snowzilla, DC, 2016!

It really did snow and snow and snow some more!  But, having grown up in New Hampshire, I love the snow, and even love showering.  I cannot run, get to the Y or get to the yoga studio, so physical fitness is shoveling and trying to walk in the deep stuff.  Can you find the car among these pictures?
